The Atlantic County Animal Shelter is open for business by appointment only for adoption services and redemption of impounded strays at (609) 485-2345.
Any incoming strays should be directed to the local Animal Control Officer for proper processing.

Atlantic County Animal Shelter Finds Unexpected Pandemic Benefit
The following fees currently apply to the adoption of animals.
Puppies and Dogs: $110.00 The adoption fee includes mandatory sterilization, age appropriate vaccinations, diagnostic testing, a microchip and a free veterinary consultation.

By appointment only. Clinics are animal-specific so cats cannot be brought to the dog clinic and vice versa. Dogs must be on leashes and cats must be in carriers.

Volunteers are always needed to help exercise and socialize the animals in the shelter. Taining is provided. Volunteers must be over the age of 18.
Volunteer Hours: Dogs 10am-1pm; Cats 1-3pm

A group from A.C. Electric recently volunteered at the shelter and donated food, blankets, treats and toys. They had a wonderful time and hope to visit again in the new year.
